I build things that solve problems, explore new ideas and learn by doing.
From coding and automation, hardware hacks and homelab tinkering, biking through Ireland and Japan, this is where I document the journey.
Technologist
My day job is as a Product Manager and Software Development Manager. Most recently for Airbus, the world’s leading aircraft manufacturer. I lead the development of pilot training tools in VR, originally working for a startup that was acquired by Airbus back in 2019.
Virtual Procedure Trainer video
C# is my primary language, with Unity my primary tool, but whatever language you put in front of me I’ll happily pick up and run with in a relatively short period of upskilling. Currently, I’m using a lot of Python for my various projects. I was the Founder of BoxFrog Games where I (primarily) designed and made video games.
Lost Wing for Windows, Mac, PS4, Xbox One and Switch
Biker
I’m a proud all-weather biker and currently ride a KTM 1290 Super Adventure S.
In the past I’ve had: Kawasaki Versys 1000, Versys 650, Hongdu GY125, Triumph Trophy 900, Suzuki GSXF 750, Yamaha Virago 535, Yamaha Virago 125, Yamaha SR125.

Former Lecturer
For nearly a decade I held a senior lecturing post at a UK University, at various times leading the Games Design provision (2 BSc courses and an HND), as well as lecturing on Games Programming, and dealing with staff and resource management, etc. I was also fortunate to be able explore my interest for innovative hardware during my tenure.
Input Glove, Pebble and Raspberry Pi
Trainee Pilot
I’ve always been a fan of flight simulation, and have spent far too much money on my flight sim setup at home. In an effort to throw even greater amounts of my hard-earned money into the wind, I started to train towards a Private Pilot’s License.
